what do people really think about Maxie and Spin??
I love the couple too and enjoy their interaction, they do bring out the best in each other, I am not sure that I want them to marry because I think their relationship is untraditional and that marriage and all that goes with that may be too much for them to live up to. I almost married my quirky best friend but then discovered that happily living together for 30 years was a better route for us to go, so I am not a big believer in marriage, not for everyone anyway. Still I love Maxie and Spin and hope they are together as a couple for a very long time.
I LOVE this couple. Soaps are an escape for many young people, not just 'bored housewives.' I think seeing a fun couple, going through all that relationships can throw your way could be great. Whether they marry isn't a biggie to me...though I think a fun wedding without any hitches would be great to see, I just want this couple to have a REAL relationship. bills, pregnancy scares (maybe a real pregnancy), going out with friends, juggling work and time together, etc.
I love them together-both are excellent actors, and the writing is great, but really, wouldnt it be better for them to both realize how mismatched they really are? I mean Maxie is beautiful, but Spinelli's MIND (admittedly not his crotch) will get so bored with her and never understand her career choice after any length of time. Their personalities will not grow in the same direction as they mature, they will only become more divergent. And why subject a wonderful "friend and confidante" relationship to divorce? Wouldnt we all love to have a friend relationship like theirs? Isnt it better for them to recognize their differences, go away from romance to a relationship similar to Carly and Jason? I want beautiful, resourceful Maxie to find magnificent, hot passionate true love, not a geeky relationship that she surely will always be the lesser of the two participants!

They're cute, but as a married couple? Not so much. I'd rather see them live together, and NOT at chez jason.. maybe jason could give them the apt across the hall ( sonny's old place ) as a gift to keep Spin close but Maxie safe and out of his hair.
I love Maxie too, but the one thing that always irks me is that we all know she had heart surgery as a child and she has no scar in her skimpiest outfits. Just a petty annoyance, but I like my soaps to be historically accurate.

I think the their relationship brought out the better side of Maxie but showed us that KS is an amazing actress that can play drama just as well as comedy but I'm done with their relationship as I think Maxie needs more. I hope they realize that they love eachother but make better friends. I hope they continue to have a life long friendship alla Jason and Carly. I think their relationship now is just making Maxie look like a comic book character and she isn't given any good drama like she was before. I hope they part as friends but she needs more. As for Spinelli, I'm hoping they the backburn him but bring him out to use as comic relief from time to time. I don't think that he will grow and don't know what else they can do with the character.
I totally agree with ghfan4life677 post regarding KS, she is wonderful, and about needing to have her move on. I also like the idea of Spinelli living across the hall from Jason, and not with him. But I think Spin is so absolutely necessary for a more interesting story. He is a wonderful comedic actor, very talented singing voice also. I love the character, want to know what is going on in his life, love the relationship with Sonny,Jason and Sam, and think he is also necessary for comic relief because sometimes this soap gets very heavy. I also think Sonny needs to smile once in a while, or at least scowl at a buffoon to make us laugh. Sonny has major tension in his career choice, marriage and child-rearing. I think it is good that some of his support staff are goofy but efficient, like Max and Spinelli.

I love Maxie...but honestly dont think she is IN love with Spinelli, I think she loves him as he has been a great friend/supporter of her when she really had no one else and her life was spiraling out of control.
I used to Love spin as the "jackal" but frankly he has been getting on my last nerve lately, and I think he loves Maxie, but he puts her up on a pedestal and its one that she is going to fall from.
Maxie can't even be honest with Spin as to her fealing of getting married, so she said yes and set a date so she didnt hurt his feelings?? thats gonna last...
Really I think that Maxie would be way better with a Bad boy, and Spin is better off in his little computer world...no guns, no investigating, no matchmaking...jsut the cyberworld.
Honestly I was hoping they would explore a Spin/Winnie pairing, although those that are annoyed with Spin alone would not have wanted that for sure. But I was hoping they would have a "normalizing" effect on each other or something. I love Maxie and Spin, and usually Spixie. I just don't know if I can buy into it in the long term....unless they are roommates or friends. I just don't see the marriage. I think Maxie might be better with Matt....or a new hunk...but NOT Dante!
