Have to agree that the video showing Kristina after the beating is very hard to sit through without cringing. And from what we saw today, Kiefer is already mad as a wet hen so I just hope they don;t show him actually doing the beating. Hard enough to see the aftermath. Hate that poor Ethan will be hated by all for a while but hope the story plays out well. From the video, I can see all the actors involved really knocking it out of the park.

After seeing Ethan grab Kristina by the arm in a rough way and telling her to leave in front of a room full of people at the H.S. I can see where it will look like he is the one that beat her. The look on Luke's face was one of shock.
That's exactly what I thought jan - they are setting it up to look like it could be ethan after yesterday's episode with him grabbing her arm. what a shame. he so doesn't deserve that. I hope Kiefer gets his comeuppance and soon

I am definately anxious to see how this Kristina storyline plays out. I agree it will be hard to watch, but I really don't think it will be too graphic. While I'm not entirely happy that GH is once again portraying a woman as a victim, this is a story that really makes sense. Sometimes GH goes for stories for the "shock value" vs. a good, well-thought out story (TMK for instance). This is a story that goes beyond a PSA. It affects nearly everyone on canvas by having Kristina blame Ethan. Whether is was intentional or not (one never knows with GH), the fact that this has been going on for a long time has actually made the story better. Kristina has been with Keifer for so long now there is a relationship there which has been set up as the abuser/victim relationship. There is enough story for me to believe that Kristina would allow herself to be in this relationship (her father issues, pressure from Alexis and school). There has also been enough time to see her crush on Ethan develop. I don't think this story would have been believable if it had been rushed. I am very interested to see how everyone handles this and how relationships are affected.
Hi, I'm new to the board and this is my first posting. I've been a lurker for awhile though and love this site! I wanted to respond to this because in real life, if Dante had told the truth, they would have had to press charges against Sonny. Just because a victim doesn't want to press charges, the government still would (one of the reasons is in many domestic cases the victim doesn't want to press charges). However, this is GH world, so maybe they have a secret local rule? haha
I am loving GH right now and the spoilers. The scene with Kristina really is hard to look at, but I can see the actors knocking it out of the park. I am grateful that its only a few weeks rather than months that we will find out who actually did it.
This brings me to my next point. The whos the daddy storyline with Elizabeth is killing me. I have been a fan of Lucky and Liz for years. I was disappointed that Jake wasn't his (although I really loved Liason). Now, he has a kid and we have to wait for him to know it? I hope he finds out before she has the baby.
Finally, I really really really dislike Lisa. Which means that I think the actress is awesome because she has been able to make me feel such a strong reaction! lol I love Scrubs and I hope her future shenanigans (with the picnic lunch and anything else she cooks up) don't make Patrick become unfaithful. I can deal with him resisting temptation and than coming to the conclusion that Lisa is a crazy lady. But I can't deal with him being sick of Robin and deciding Lisa is oh so his type!!

Welcome to the board, it's a great place to discuss GH. 
MB and DZ have fantastic chemistry so I'm trying to adjust to Dante's cover up as best I can. As long as he stays out of the mob I think I'll be happy. Looking forward to Dante/Lucky working together. GH has such an awesome group of actors, and all the stories have me loving my GH again, just hope they keep it up. I agree with your comment on Lisa, she wouldn't get on our nerves as much if the actress wasnt' pulling it off. Love my Scrubs, and if it gives them a good story, so all about it, as long as Scrubs is even strong when it's over. I'm with you on the LL2 stuff as well, been a fan since their inception so this fan isn't giving up. I also liked Liason, but none of her pairings have ever topped my LL2 love. Jake being Jason's will make for a great story later I think. At this point I'm just hoping that Lucky gets to help raise his baby. No baby switches or baby missing for months, that would be total torture-too much after everything. At this point if anything I'm just hoping for an awesome Spencer/Cassadine feud with the Spencers kickin' some butt. Still wondering where they are going to take Nikolas...if he's going dark for a bit or not.

Great post, ITA. I think Lainey is about to get busy again..can't wait to see everyone in this story, especially MB & NLG. I always loved their chemistry.
Ugh. That video was very difficult to watch. I get somewhat that she chooses to blame Ethan because she thinks that his being Luke's son might keep Sonny from killing him, but, eeeeeh I dunno if I totally believe that. Part of me thinks that she is protecting Kiefer because many times that's what abused women do, and another part of me thinks she is blaming Ethan because she is still angry with him for rejecting her. I'm also not sure how she can think that Ethan is safe from retaliation when if anything, the one thing that Sonny and Jason are no holds barred on is when one of the children get hurt.
Not sure I will be able to watch the actual beating. I will probably ff. I used to be able to watch things like that but I now have two little girls and ugh, I just don't think I can.
I think the scenes in the clip are from Mondays show, going by the spoilers. If that is the case, I'm tinking they will not show the actually beating (I hope) Maybe we will see him slap her and then they will have a montage and then we will see her laying on the ground. They can still have the impact without being too graphic. The slow build and the impact on many characters, along with the important message remind me of Stone/Robin and the AIDS s/l, or Elizabeth's rape. Huge impact to the audience. And it has the potential to resonate for a long time to come. I really hope they do it the justice it deserves.

I don't think we will see the beating taking place. The aftermath is bad enough to look at.
At least for me just seeing the bruises on Kristina's face was more than I need to see.
I'm inclined to agree with missingjsamalways, Probably we'll see the first punch and Kristina going down but hopefully that will be it. I say punch, because for those of you who did see the video, that was NO slap, they were punches. My god, I'm getting goosebumps just writing this and it's all just fiction, but the thought of it.......
I think the teen and tweens need to see it because this is going on to much in this age group.
On another note, I am disappointed that Liz's baby is Lucky's. I want life long drama with Helena and baby. It would be nice to have a Cassidine little girl.

I had to turn the channel during hers. Elizabeth's was hard enough, and we didn't get the graphic detail like Emily's rape. Watching Elizabeth crawl out of the bushes all bloody and scrapped up was rough. I can't imagine what that must have been like for Tyler/Natalia to act out, I believe they were dating at the time, but still. NL was intense in that scene, like I said, totally switched channels. I hope they don't show the beating either, I don't think many would disagree. Nervous about the story b/c they kind've bombed on the PPD story w/ Robin, but I got my fingers crossed. I know everyone involved is going to be amazing-that much I have little doubt over. Maurice/Lexi/NLG are going to have me in tears, I just know it. I know Sam/Kristina/Molly scenes will tear me up also. GH is hard to watch right now b/c of how sad everyone is, but everyone is doing such an awesome job.

Oh my gosh, I am really a nervous wreck watching and worrying about the upcoming beating of Kristina. Just hoping we see hardly anything. It was hard enough seeing Ethan verbally chastising her. I can see why his name comes to her lips in the hospital. Like Luke told him, that was not at all the way to handle the situation. What a mess this will be. And I can see why Sam believes her considering she already has a bruise caused by Ethan. Yipes.
