Wow - there are alot of rumors/spoilers flying around out there, and they are quite intriguing!  I can't wait to see how this flushes out.  I also remember a spoiler connected with Ethan about a "fake australian accent", which also ties into him having some covert mission.  Whether that be FBI, WSB, Helena, scam, or searching for a long-lost parent -- who knows!  But now to hear he's tied to Embecca, this could get interesting.  It gives me hope that someone is actually flushing out storylines at the writers shed vs. just plain flushing them! 

see thats what i think everytime ETHAN speaks its a fake accent. He shows to much teeth doing it.

Regarding the Sam/Liz debate, unless it pertains to spoilers (and sometimes it does!) it should go in the other rant thread. 
As far as being disappointed when opening a thread, we all have our peeves.  I, for one, don't like opening a thread only to see banner after banner after banner but I don't tell people not to do it because "I" don't like it and would prefer to read conversation instead.
Back to actual spoilers - has anyone heard anything definite about Kate leaving? 

Oh yeah.  Embecca has an agenda no doubt about it.  Can't wait to find out what it is or who she is.Why didn't she apply for a job at Mercy?  She's supposed to be an x-ray tech so she says. I know she refused Nik's offer to work at his clinic.Waitressing at Kelly's can't pay that much.  I don't care what Mike says about tips.  The only up side  is that she will get room and board thrown in so if she's tapped for $$$ that would help her.I think she said it would only be temporary.

I wondered about this too. There would have to be many clinics that offered x-ray jobs in town too. Is it that much cheaper to work for room and board?  I don't like the unrealistic details in the storylines. I hope she does have some sort of agenda. That would make more sense.

I hope the Rebecca girl is a road back to Helena and she is really Emily, just wishful thinking I know but anything is possible on a Soap:)

But I hope he gives us something interesting. It would be nice to see Rebecca and him have something to do with each other as I really Dont want her with Nick, or to turn out to be Emily.....

For the week of 3/2:
Spinelli says goodbye to Port Charles -- to go on the run! Carly and Claudia are on a collision course.

Despite helping the FBI during the hospital crisis, Jason is still faced with an impossible choice: turn on Sonny or send Spinelli to prison. Apparently, nailing Anthony Zacchara is no longer enough for Agent Rayner -- leaving Jason unsure of what to do. Spinelli makes the decision for him when he overhears Jason's dilemma. Rather than put "Stone Cold" in an impossible position, he skips town. He doesn't leave Port Charles on his own, though ... look for a new partner in crime!

Sonny manages to save Claudia from her crazy father, who had strapped a bomb to her chest. But Claudia better start worrying less about Anthony and more about Carly. Guilt-ridden over her role in Michael's shooting, Claudia goes to visit her comatose stepson. But her timing overlaps with Carly, who has just gotten word that Michael could be the recipient of some experimental treatment that could spell recovery. Carly and Claudia are indeed on a collision course -- in which case, it's Claudia who should be worried about recovering ... because you KNOW Carly will take her on!

Speaking of collision courses, Nikolas seems to be getting closer to Rebecca. And in the meantime, Rebecca experiences her first big Quartermaine squabble-fest. Nik seeks out Luke's advice as to how to deal with the whole Rebecca sitch -- and he may not like what Luke has to say ... to him, OR to Rebecca!

All this, PLUS: Lulu meets Ethan (and is not impressed), Nadine gets real, and Robin goes back to work -- on the sly. But why is she telling people that she has no children?

I hope Spinelli keeps on running and never returns.  He's a nuisance.  Jason would be better off without that pain in the butt that never listens and screws up everytime he tries to help. 
Don't get why Nik would seek out LUke's advice about Rebecca.   He's made a mess of his own life and can barely keep his marriage together.  

 

Maybe Nic wants to talk about letting go of the one true love of your life, which always makes me sick since he loved other women and had a child with Courtney so it isn't like Emily was his one true love, it is disrespectful of so much in his life, but anyway maybe he wants to discuss how Luke moved on with Tracy or some such nonsense.

lol, nonsense is right.  Luke was ready to walk away from Tracy when Laura went to Paris.  He wanted to go with her but she said no.  I don't think Luke will ever "let go" of Laura.  JMO of course. 

Well Guza finally got what he wanted----keystone cops, blowing up GH(probably will change show name to Port Charles), break up beloved couples(acutally what couples)-------GUESS WHAT----Ratings are down----way down.   Way to go!!

I have to agree with all the frustration out there.  The story telling has just been so low lately.  Even though Kirsten Storm was awesome, I didn't even like the BJ for a day set up, not because it wasn't interesting, but because of how it reminded me how effective the BJ story was back then, and how today's story telling just isn't.  and I also got hooked a few months back on the susan moore story line on you tube from the early 80s, and I agree that too was just better written then today's drivel.  Funny enough, even though I never really watched it before, I watched a few eppies of Guiding Light over the xmas break (weather where I am was and is horrible!). But anyway, as I was watching, my first thought was that this show seemed to remain true to the core characters/families and that I was actually interested in watching what happened to them.  Liz is the only Webber, there are no Hardy's left, they've killed off the quartermaines terribly.  Now we have the Cornithos and Zachharas.  I think Guza envisions himself like the creator of the Sopranos, which he clearly is not!  Okay, sorry this is so long, I know I should have put it in the rant thread.  I'm hoping some new spoilers will come along to get excited about.

After reading the "Hotsheets" I have a few ideas.
 
I am not sure I like the ides of them putting Spinelli on the run. I am sure he goes with Winnie, which is fine, but they are setting Maxie up to be more then a tad bit jealous. I like the idea of someone having to fight for Spinelli's affection/attention/time. I am not sure I like how systematic the story line is. It doesn't seem to flow, or be natural. Plus I want Maxie to rise above. We all know she wants something different in a boyfriend, so let Spinelli find happiness.
 
Claudia and Carly! Yes Carly will take Claudia on! I think tptb should have it that Carly and Kate team up to bring down Claudia. Now Clarly does NOT like Kate, but I think she will end up HATING Claudia(with due reason).
It would be a trifecto if they included Ric in the mix. Carly would have to join forces with old enemies to bring down a new one. It would add a new layer to the Sonny and Carly relationship, if she had a part in bringing him to his knees. It would be Sonny's worst nightmare.......his ex-wife, the mother of his children, along with the "love of his life", and his brother all gunning for him. That would be a s/l to see.
 
Rebecca experiences her first Q squabble. That should be hilarious. I wonder if they are going to have her yell "Enough" just like Emily. Now tell me that wouldn't stop the fight. I bet you'll be able to hear ELQ stocks drop. How fast do you think Rebecca will be leaving the mansion?  I think she will set a land speed record.
 
I am not sure about Ethan. I know he's Robert and Holli's son (I think), but he has this slimy factor that I am having a hard time getting past. I hope they give us more clues, or background soon. Of all the s/l I don't want this one dragged out.

Maxie and Johnny are too predictable together, I don't think they should be together.  Also, I love Spinelli, but he needs to learn when to shup up sometimes.  He should have thought about what he was saying and how it was affecting Lulu!!  And Kate is just obnoxious!!
What's up with Ethan's upper lip?  Just sticks up all time, lol!  Although, I do think he's funny!  He can be Tracy's adopted son, lol!  That would be funny though!

20 days and no new spoilers... i think i might die from withdrawl.... lol

I wonder if the lack of spoilers has to do with the lack of anything interesting/different happening.  I sometimes follow the spoilers for Days of our Lives on another site and the same spoiler came up on 2 different days.  When someone pointed that out, someone else responded that its the same thing every day anyway.  I sometimes feel that way about GH.  Recylced stories, same conversations. 
I would truly like to see some character growth.  I've been thinking about Ethan and what it is precisely why I haven't warmed up to him.  I think a big part has to do with him being with Luke.  Now, I love Luke and Tony Geary.  I was watching GH when he first came on (a looong time ago!).  But he frustrates me to no end with his lack of growth.  I know that's been a big point for him, to not change or become domesticated, but to never see change in a person is quite unrealistic.  He's not Homer Simpson, who frankly can't change because he's a cartoon.  Luke's constant "scams" and "cons" are not that amusing anymore and I think that's why I'm not thrilled with Ethan.  Maybe after he interacts with other characters (although if he instantly falls in love with Lulu like all the 20ish guys who have come on the show seem required to do, he's dead to me) I'll feel different.
Speaking of charcters who don't change, I actually am liking Sonny a little bit lately.  I love Claudia (and Sarah) and I like how he sees how damaged she is.  I'm hoping this will come into play when her involvement in Michael's shooting comes out

So I guess we can anticipate that with Luke introducing Lulu to Nathan, she will become attracted to him, and will push Johnny toward Maxie.
