I consider myself more a LizFan than a Liason fan.
I try not to root for couples.  They never last.
I do like Jason most of the time but he's married to the mob and I don't see that changing anytime soon, if ever.

Jan, you are smart.  After the whole Carly/Alcazar thing back when Tamara was here, I became totally disallusioned. I was so sure that S&C wouldn't break up, that they would be the untouchable couple. Boy was I wrong. So now I am all about the characters instead of couples.  I mean, I'd like to see Nik and ReMily together, but I'm not counting on it.  I enjoy both Liz and Sam, not a big fan of Jason's, so I will be happy with whomever they pair them with.  I really enjoy Spixie, but I am not gonna invest in them because with GH I have learned now not to invest in any couple I really like because as you said, they won't last, lol.  So I'm just gonna try and enjoy the stories as they come and when I get my way, just take it as a bonus.

I have to say, I could be intrigued by the possiblity of a Kate Howard Murder Mystery.  Someone had brought that idea up a few pages back.  I recently watched all 100 or so parts of the "Susan Moore Murder Mystery of 1983" on youtube and I was hooked.  My kids kept teasing me about my continuous watching, but I couldn't stop!  So many memories!  Such good writing and acting!  Back when the police were the good guys and were in charge and knew what they were doing (ahh, Robert Scorpio, so dreamy and dashing).  So many characters had plausible motives.  There was a build-up for weeks to the actual murder which laid the groundwork for motives and then there were weeks of the story unfolding with plenty of story around the actual mystery-the slow build of (gasp) love between Robert and Holly, the relationship between Scotty and his father, the introduction of characters (Jimmy Lee, Celia Quartermaine, Grant Putnum), the interactions of the Quartermaines.  Classic and classy GH.
Nowadays, it seems like the writers are in such a hurry to tell the stories.  It's like they have the beginnings of a good idea and begin the story without working out the details.  Then they try to make sense of it as they go.  For example, Trevor's "story" during the biotoxin/fire crisis.  There were opportunities to explore his backstory and his intensely complicated relationship with Ric (both actors are amazing and could have shined during this kind of story).  Instead, he's been on the backburner with only a couple of lines of dialoge exchanged with Ric and the Z's.  Then, poof, during the crisis he has to steal the biotoxin to use as his "ticket" out of there.  What????  More story would have made more sense. 
I'm afraid, though, if Kate is killed (only speculation, nothing I have read.  It just seems like they are writing her into such a corner and so unlikable that murder is the only resolution.), that it will be rushed like all the other stories.  Why not build up motives for many characters to want to her dead?  Claudia certainly has motive now, but there are other characters that could.  Olivia, Ric, Johnny, even LuLu and Maxie could be entangled in the story.  So many possiblities.  I know we have become a nation of short attention spans, but sometimes, we like to take things a bit slower. 

What do ya'll think about the Rebecca/Emiliy thing? Is it really Emily who has been brainwashed by Helena or is she a twin? Sorry if this question has been posted before!

I remember the old days of GH.  But I think our entire society is much faster paced than we were in the 70's and 80's.  I blame it on video games.  (Well, okay I blame it on parents that allow their kids to play video games without balancing it out with a slower activity such as reading or hopscotch.)  I think nowadays the writers are not writing for us die hard fans, but trying to lure in a younger crowd.   Back in the Luke and Laura days, college students planned their classes around GH.  Now I think the writers are thinking if the slow down the stories like the Susan Moore murder, they won't keep the younger crowd interested.   And I think the WEB and spoilers play a big part in the stories too.  As soon as we get a spoiler, if it's something we don't like, we express our dismay on the WEB.  I'm sure these shows have people in here and other sites reading and by poplular posts, they may change up a story or drop something without further mention.   I'm surprised with all the Liasion posts here and everywhere, that the writers haven't brought them back together.

Either scenario sounds plausible to me.  My guess is that she is Emily's twin, but if Helena is behind all this mystery then I'll be jumping for joy.

After today's show, I am soooooo seeing a four way situation between Liz/Nic and Rebecca/Lucky.  Nic is going to be annoyed at the time Lucky spends Rebecca and their good relationship, Liz is going to get jealous...then they are going to "comfort" each other...interesting!!

I think NIk is going to be jealous of Lucky because obviously Rebecca is already interested in Lucky and not him.  Somehow I just don't see Liz and Nik getting cozy.  Will Liz be jealous?
hmmm, guess I'll have to wait and see.

There is a rumor out there that Liz does get jealous of Rebecca and since those two have kind of reconnected (though they did go out of the way to have Lucky point out that he is single), that seems to make the most sense as to what she would be jealous of.

I realize that times are very different know and we expect instant information as well as having the ability to express our displeasure at certain storylines.  I would just like a cohesive, well planned story with a beginning, middle and end.

Wubs said that a strange woman is following Spin. . . I would if it could be Embecca since I have heard speculation she may have FBI ties. She must have some hidden agenda.  Why else wouldn't she just move to another town if being in a town where everyone thinks she looks just like Emily is so annoying to her?

Now that is interesting...I never thought of the Embecca storyline intertwining with the biotoxin/FBI storyline.  She did show up just before this all boiled up - and she was on the celphone quite a bit - possibly providing updates to the FBI?
The only thing that bothers me with this direction is...do they think we would believe its just a horrible coinky-dinky that the FBI would just happen to send an agent in that looks just like Em?

Oh yeah.  Embecca has an agenda no doubt about it.  Can't wait to find out what it is or who she is.
Why didn't she apply for a job at Mercy?  She's supposed to be an x-ray tech so she says. I know she refused Nik's offer to work at his clinic.
Waitressing at Kelly's can't pay that much.  I don't care what Mike says about tips.  The only up side  is that she will get room and board thrown in so if she's tapped for $$$ that would help her.
I think she said it would only be temporary.

Nik is totally freaking Rebecca out. I knew when he offered her the job at the clinic that she'd refuse it. Not so much because she's not really an x-ray tech, but because she doesn't want to be around him that much.

Can we make a Jasam vs. Liason thread so that we can actually only use this site for spoilers?  Gets a bit old coming in here to check for updates and paging through pages of arguements about the two couples.  Be nice to know when I see this string at the top, that maybe some spoiler conversation is happening.  Seems like this thread is a long time coming.

I haven't read the spoiler thread for a couple of days for the very same reason, Samlizfan.   At one point I loved Liz and Jason, then I loved Liz and Lucky, then back to Liz and Jason, then I liked Lucky and Sam.  Now I don't care one way or another.  

I would love to read some spoilers about Claudia and Kate.  Is Claudia really going to plan to shoot Kate, or will Kate get the last laugh on Claudia and Sonny?
