Jake had a head injury and I remember Patrick saying he didn't want Elizabeth to see him like this... People with head trauma sometimes have so much swelling they are unrecognizable..Besides it's a soap anything is possible...I hope it is Jake, that "death" was just mean and cruel and soooo unnecessary..

You are absolutely correct!!!   I can't believe that some would have a hard time with bringing back a child who was wrongly killed off for reasons many of us will NEVER understand.  Seems to me that it's personal with all of us, not all but some Jasam fans are glad Jake is gone while other Jasam fans were appalled of this unnecessary death and many Liason fans dropped off of watching GH when they killed him off.  I hope it's Jake it will cause alot of viewers to tune back in.

As I said, if "Jake" wasn't Jason and Liz real son then I'd be ok with it. I can believe that they had the wrong child and it would be soapy. There is only so much that I can suspend reality for.

Also, you don't have to be a fan to like or not like a story. For example, I'm a huge Jasam fan but I'm enjoying this story with Franco / Jason / Sam. This terribly heart breaking tragedy is why I watch soaps. Not just for the good. I'll complain and whine but when all is said and done I think it's a good story.

Firing real people like LA is senseless. Killing a fictional little boy to drive stories is not. There are several reasons I can see them doing that including to give Elizabeth some good material.

If you think too hard about Jake's "death" of course it would be implausible. So are most of the story lines on the soap. Even Robin's death - sure the body was burnt beyond recognition. But someone was able to wait in the shadows for the right moment to carry a dead body in the lab, drag Robin's unconscious body out, stop to change their jewelry, and get out of a locked, enclosed area all in the nick of time? C'mon now - we all know its crazy talk. Its a soap.

Of course we can hope tptb would be more creative than to say "well, it WAS Jake, and he got hit by a car and he flat lined but he wasn't really dead or brain dead, and the organs were swapped with someone who was a match for Joss, and then we snuck him out of there, and then he miraculously recovered..." but they've done it time and time before. Some people buy it, most don't.....its fictional, so I am not expecting a clear map from A to B.

The difference between Jake and all the characters your ruined is that characters I trust we're working on him when he died. His parents then saw him through the window on life support. Then his organs were tested for Jpsslyn and then the organs were accepted by Joss' body as a match. For it not to be him that means Patrick can't tell if his patient is truly brain dead. That means that miraculously, some other child just happens to be a match for Joss.

The only way I would accept it is if Jake wasn't Jake. Though the fact that he looked just like Jason would be hmmmm worthy.

Liz saw her son, I'm guessing as a nurse she most have administered some sort of first response. They never said she didn't recognize him. Just that she shouldn't see him in that condition.

I think Liz, Patrick, Robin, Jason are all capable of recognizing Jake. I also think Liz, Patrick and Robin are capable enough medical Professionals. I do believe in miracles but that is just too much.

The body they found in the lab was burnt beyond recognition. Totally different. No one else had organs removed from their bodies and had to match someone else's.

You made me think though about something else--the organ transplant ring...

scratch chinOoh-I am trying not to get my hopes up but you have a point...

I've been thinking about this ever since SID live tweet during a show where something was mentioned about Jake being with Robin. Not a spoiler and I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be incredibly cool.

Well they lost him in the operating room but I remember thinking it was so odd that Jake was left on child support the way he was. Anything could have happened during that time. I just don't know  how they'd get past his injuries but I'd take it. lol

Wasn't his head crushed?  Horrible to even think about that but that was why they didn't want Liz to see the body.

On a soap you can bring anybody back from the dead.  One of my favorite lines from the movie "Soap Dish" was when Whoopie Goldberg, who was a writer for the fictional soap and was supposed to bring a character back from the dead, said,"But he was decapitated".
