The SPOILERholics Thread!! (Discuss, Jeer, and Cheer)
Shirley,
A long time ago you said something about Jason & Liz being together in the end (I don't remember the exact words). Is this re-pairing of Jason and Sam and Liz and Lucky short term or is this a Frons permanent decision?
is there such a thing as a permanent decision on a soap? ;)
yes Jacks Shirley confirmed it awhile back about Leyla
Ugg. In my very humble opinion, the hospital crisis was way over hyped, and even the new spoilers have not peaked my interest (thanks for posting them though). I just want some romance and fun. The real world is depressing enough!

For the forseeable future (which is pretty limited), Jason and Liz are a thing of the past.
If Jason and Sam become romantic again it won't be for quite some time yet. For now their pairing is strictly action based.
That's fine with me I am sick of the back and forth already!
Isn't everything about GH right now "strictly action based"? sigh... The Feb 3 SOD says that "on Feb 3 Claudia tells Sonny the truth about Anthony". I hope this will light a few firecrackers around the mob end of these storylines and tie things up so they can move on to some romance.
Were Jason and Liz even an actual couple? I mean they were always behind closed doors and sercretive....IMO they weren't given a chance to be a couple out in public. IMO want them out and about...if he and Sam are together then I'm just gonna be sick.
They had a chance till Liz found out that Jason lied to her during the whole Sonny faking his death thing. Easy out for TPTB.
Sam was saving the world that would mean Jason wasn't. So I doubt she has been. Why all the Sam hating? If you don't like her just ff her please. I am a Sam fan first. I am a Sam & Jason friend only fan.
I would like for Lucky to save the world, or Mac, anyone on THE RIGHT side of the law would work for me.
I love Mr Z, I think he is very funny. Claudia I can take or leave, but I really enjoy watching the actress portray her.
I totally agree with your post (except the Jason/Sam friend thing. ) sometimes we have to stand up for those we like.
Oh that is so depressing that Jason and Liz are a thing of the past.. they are always being shoved aside and never really get a chance to be happy together, everytime they try to be together they get pulled apart. I am wondering if TPTB know how to write a good love story, where two people who come from different sides and long to be together and get their happy ending.. Liason deserves a happy ending. But I guess a good love story is not what TPTB have in mind or know how to write.. Bring on the Violence :(
They've forgotten why women watch soaps in the first place and it for sure isn't about the violence!
Liason has been the only thing keeping me watching so now not sure how long I will continue to torture myself with what GH has become... I'm hoping for a reprieve but not trusting TPTB to do anything that makes sense...
Honestly, the violence has been a part of GH for a LONG time now.
Jason and Elizabeth were given a chance. For YEARS. She has his SON; why, I don't have a clue. I don't know why TIIC didn't put them together in a somewhat permanent way but there was a reason. I know there are a lot of Jason and Elizabeth fans but not EVERYONE was. There were those, myself included, that didn't see chemistry.
I can't wait to see what action comes to Jason and Sam. They seem to live by their own rules and make sacrifices that are known only to them sometimes. Jason with choosing Spin, Sonny, mob over Elizabeth, Jake and Sam choosing Spin over Lucky. IDK. It's hard to follow characters between all the flip flops the writers do.
I think I am one of the few that actually likes Sam and Liz...for very different reasons. I like Liz because she is loyal to her friends, fights pretty hard for what she believes, and they tend to cast her as the moral compass of that group.
I like Sam because she is confident, independent and likes to take risks. She is pretty fun and tends to make whomever she is with smile...which is nice.
As far as Jason goes...
I don't know anyone who can be with him. They all end up the same way. "I love you be I cannot be with you...your life is in danger." Plus he has proven over and over again that the mod comes first. I mean with Sam, he finally had someone who didn't want to change him, make him leave the mob and actually liked the lifestyle, but still not good enough. And with Liz...she had his kid...and still not good enough.
Getting pretty old. I mean...after all of this...if he is with someone and in the mob...then maybe he doesn't love them very much because he feels it is okay to risk them when he wouldn't risk others. Not sure how that can be justified.
The closest is Sam. At least she is the only one willing to take the risk..all of the rest, including Liz, just wanted to change him. I mean that one scene where she wanted to have him over for dinner with a glass of wine, fire in the fireplace and the kids...how did she think that was going to happen. I just think she is a bit confused about who he is and what he does. She just hero worships him it seems.
Anyway...first post. Glad to have that out of my system!

I look to the future and I don't see any couples to root for. Where is the romance, there is too much history with Carly, Jax and Sonny then her friendship with Jason and Michael in a coma. I don't see them getting past all that baggage. We have Patrick and Robin but it doesn't look like much love in the afternoon for them in the forseeable future since she has PPD. Maxie and Spin, there has been little growth there and I don't see a romance. Lulu and Johnny leave me cold, Lucky and Sam, he is written too wimpy to be a Spencer and she is written to reckless for a relationship. Jason and Liz or Jason and anyone for that matter seems unlikely. Sonny and Claudia, that is going to blow up soon with the Michael reveal.
I am discouraged with the spoilers and wish that Mac, Robert, Anna or someone who is on the right side of the law could succeed in saving Port Charles from whatever is happening. It isn't playing out as emotional, the build is fragmented, so I will be surprised if it is a satisfying reveal.
Maybe Luke and Ethan can bring a spark back, but that still doesn't give us any romance.
I agree with you to a point SamLizfan. The mob does come first for Jason, and he even left Sam because he put her in danger, she got shot in the back and that was that. Liz was willing to accept his life, she wasn't trying to change him she just loved and wanted to be with him. When Jake got kidnapped, Lucky and Sam were investigating the fake perscription drugs and Sam was trying to infiltrate Karpov's organization so in realtiy part of the reason for Jake being kidnapped was their fault also, although that was never mentioned. I think they have written Jason into a corner, he really shouldn't be with anyone and what a waste he's so handsome, but in reality it's the truth. There are so many other ways they could have written the story that would work. But they keep saying Jason can't be domesticated. So therefore, why do they keep trying and teasing fan bases. They should just let him be alone, and like I said what a waste and ashame, he's so handsome.

I can pretty much apply almost everything you said to Sam and Jason. Not everyone was/is a fan, not everyone likes them, not everyone thinks Sam is the best thing since sliced bread ala Fronz does, not everyone thinks that the best thing for Jason is someone who is a female version of him and if anyone did think that someone like him is what he needs then they'd see that Claudia is more like Jason then Sam is. Anyway...I don't see how any man with literally half a brain would go for someone as skeevy as Sam. There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe my disgust for this character. IMO they are much better off as friends then as lovers. The love of Jason's life isn't any woman anyway..it's the mob. As he dies alone he can take comfort in the fact that he never gave up his one true love, that he sacraficed raising his child just to have some fleeting power and that he was able to "protect" his so-called best friend Carly and her kids all the while neglecting his own.
TIIC have no problem writing Sonny as both a family man and killer but they can't do the same for Jason? RME and if I keep rolling my eyes they just may never stop. The fact that Sonny has been given the chance to be in love, have a family, raise those children out in the open for all the world to see and then for Jason not to be given that chance? I don't see Jason as honorable for walking away from Jake or Elizabeth. I see him as pathetic and selfish. He'd much rather be running a "mob" then be able to see his son everyday? He could protect Sonny's kids but not his own? He can have lovers and wives but can't be with Elizabeth? I'm sick of the double standard and I'm sick of being jerked around.
Great post michelle. It is mind boggeling. Like I said, they should just stop trying to domesticate him, because they have no intention of letting him be that way. Sad, cuz he could take care of Michael and not his own child. They need to stop teasing and keep his character in true form. The Jason I remember would have never chosen the mob over his own son!!!!
I will start off by saying I am a Jason/Liz fan and I am bothered by the turn in S/L, but not so much because they are no longer together, but more because I can not even recognize these characters anymore. I have been watching GH for about 20 years now (wow - never realized that before!) and I know Jason and Liz. Liz was a strong, fiesty character and can remain so even though she is a parent. You do grow up as a parent but you don't become weak, spineless and whiny. Jason would NEVER abandon his son, even if he thought he was dangerous. I also know Lucky and even Sam. Sam has always been an action junkie but there was also more to her than that and now it seems like they have decided to drop all the stuff that made us all like Sam and focus strictly on the action. And Lucky - ugh!!! I absolutely LOVED Jonathan Jackson as Lucky - he was a strong character and was written as a strong character. With each re-cast he became less and less of a Spencer. Lucky was always a good balance of good and spencer! Now I just want to yell at him to MAN UP!!! Sorry I this probably should have been in the rant and not here, but I was just reading all the above posts and wanted to put in my two cents!!!!
Ok um I swear I walked into a Liason thread
